Russia (Gog) At The Epicenter Of Iranian Nuclear Conflict

WASH—KIN—Dec 6—Russia, the Gog in the Ezekiel 38 prophecy that predicts joining forces with Iran (Persia) and others against Israel in a huge end time battle, has seized control of the entire Iranian nuclear conflict by supplying nuclear technology and expertise to Iran and by convincing the West it is in the best position to broker a peace compromise.
At present, Russia is profiting from military and nuclear technology sales to Iran and its political standing on the United Nations Security Council. Russia has out-maneuvered the West by using its permanent position on the U.N. Security Council to block any action against its most favored customer (Iran). And Russia has positioned itself with Europe and the U.S. as the broker of a compromise where Iran could enrich uranium and sends the valuable nuclear weapon-grade by products back to Russia under Russian verification and supervision. Russia also benefits, as it will have more, less expensive ingredients to build more nuclear weapons, enabling the country to focus money on high tech research and development of improved nuclear weapons and their uses. In addition, Russia has successfully built a powerful trade and military alliance with traditional enemy, China.
President George W. Bush said he trusts Russian President Vladimir Putin to resolve the Iranian nuclear problem, even in the face of credible reports that Iran is secretly developing a nuclear weapon and a missile delivery system with the help of Russia and China. All the while, Russia and China have been working in the diplomatic shadows threatening to use their permanent positions on the U.N. Security Council to block any action against Iran.
Both countries have billions of dollars at stake in Iranian nuclear development. Surprisingly, America and its allies chose appeasement rather than confrontation with Russia and China over the Iranian nuclear problem. Russia has moved to protect its investment in Iran by selling the rogue nation some $700 million worth of surface to air missiles designed to protect the nuclear facilities under construction by Russia in Iran.
In the past ten days, the European Union revealed that Iran has drawings showing how to cast the inner core of a nuclear bomb. Iran is also threatening to resume uranium enrichment at its underground plant in Natanz. After much debate, the 35-member board of the United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency decided to give Russia time to broker a compromise. Russia, which has been working hard with its newfound ally, China, to convince the international community that Iran is not building a nuclear bomb, has proposed that Iran be allowed to continue to process uranium ore, but ship the gas produced there to Russia for enrichment. The Natanz plant would remain mothballed under the proposal.
President Bush and others have a very short memory. Perhaps they should be reminded that Russia, in the U.N. Oil For Food scandal, was by far the greatest beneficiary of Saddam Hussein's bribes, taking over $23 billion in Iraqi oil deals and so-called humanitarian assistance, much of which was diverted to military purposes. Receiving bribes were high ranking Russian officials, the communist party, and even the office of the President of Russia—that would be the trusted Putin, himself—who was allocated over 21 million barrels of Iraqi oil bribes. China, although at a lesser extent, was also on the list of those who were bribed by Saddam Hussein. They both blocked U.N. Security Council action against Iraq.
Iran has said that Israel should be wiped off the face of the earth. It wants the same for America. Bible prophecies indicate that Russia, China and Iran will come against Israel in the latter days. A nuclear weapon in the hands of Iran could certainly trigger such an event. And America’s leaders, seemingly blinded by the obvious, are enabling the solidification of these apocalyptic relationships. Jesus said in Matthew 24 not to be deceived, but to watch because you do not know what hour your Lord will come. But he gave us a clue. In Matthew 24:33, Jesus said, “So likewise you, when you shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.”
